When you build a home that overlooks the greater Bay Area and it features spectacular views of the Oakland Bridge, you want door products with narrow sightlines and hardware that disappears. Western is the perfect choice.

Western has always been the best in the industry at capturing your custom view. Whether your home overlooks the ocean, a scenic mountain, or a beautifully landscaped backyard, the goal of our products is to disappear and beckon your guests to take in the splendor of the outdoors. For that reason, we have engineered our doors with a sleek design that includes narrow hardware and sightlines that allow for large expanses of glass. We don’t want you to notice our hardware or door stiles….we want you to view the beauty of your surroundings. To enhance your view, we offer slim handles and minimal lock stile sightline dimensions.
Fleetwood also offers high-quality doors, however, in their higher-end products their lock stile sightlines and handle hardware are substantially wider and more visible than Western’s. Even in their self-described "entry-level/narrow stile" products, Western's high-end product still has narrower lock stile sight lines to better capture your view. While we work to make our hardware disappear, their product design seems to emphasize and draw attention to their over-sized handle.
Please notice the difference in these key lock stile dimensions:
