Throughout our history Western Window Systems has competed with many different window and door companies to earn business and cement our rightful place in both the high-end residential and commercial markets. There are many solid competitors in the marketplace that make great products, and many of them have motivated us to continue to make our products better. Fleetwood Windows & Doors is one such competitor. Fleetwood is a high-quality manufacturer that produces similar products to our own. We compete with them on a daily basis, and we have tremendous respect for their company and the products they offer. While Fleetwood is just one of many quality competitors, there are two important reasons why we decided to create this website that directly compares our products and our company directly to theirs:

Reason #1On their website Fleetwood compares their product lines directly to Western. Within these comparisons, Fleetwood starts first by touting and emphasizing the sales points of their various product lines. While we may not agree with everything they say about their products, we respect that they are allowed to sell and promote the features of their systems however they choose. However, we have a harder time accepting all of the inaccurate statements they have made specifically about our products and our company. While we tried at first to simply ignore these comparisons, we found that the misrepresentations they were making about Western were confusing and frustrating our customers. We have decided that we no longer could ignore the false claims and that we needed to respond and set the record straight.

Reason #2We have heard from our customers (homeowners, architects, and builders) and read on their website that Fleetwood actively markets to their customers that Western is a vastly inferior product and consistently uses language such as “obviously ugly”, “tract quality”, “wobbly”, “weak”, etc to describe our products. While we will never choose to use words such as this to describe their product, we also cannot sit back and let them try and damage our reputation with existing or potential customers. We owe it to our customers to correctly assert to the marketplace that Western is not only a worthy competitor to Fleetwood, but instead…a better one.

The aim of this website is not to criticize Fleetwood, but instead to educate our customers on some of the important details and differences in our products and our companies. We want to help you see why so many believe Western truly stands alone as the best window and door manufacturer in the country.
